Visual Composer Website Builder allows you to specify image dimensions by using default WordPress image sizes. These sizes determine the maximum dimensions in pixels, yet you can write them down as simple words (ex. medium). Custom sizes in pixels are also applicable if needed. This allows you to easily achieve a custom page design, that is not predetermined by default settings.
What are default WordPress image sizes
By default, WordPress offers predetermined image sizes, that are used in such features as featured image. WordPress default image sizes are:
- Thumbnail size (150px square);
- Medium size (maximum 300px width and height);
- Large size (maximum 1024px width and height);
- Full size (full/original image size you uploaded).
How to change default image sizes
It is possible to change the settings for default image sizes through your WordPress admin dashboard. To adjust the sizes, you have to:
- Navigate to your WordPress Admin Dashboard;
- Go to Settings;
- Choose media settings;
- Change to desirable size values.
Default image sizes in Visual Composer
WordPress default image sizes in Visual Composer Website Builder are used in content elements like the Single Image and Feature Description, that have an image as content (not background).
Note: It is not mandatory to use the default sizes, you can also enter the size in pixels directly to change it.
