In WordPress, you can have different post types for various purposes. In the very essence, pages and posts are post types defined by WordPress.
At the same time, you can have more custom post types defined by plugins and themes. For example, Woo Commerce Products is a post type which contains your products, or Portfolio post type created by 3rd party plugin for your portfolio purposes.
Visual Composer fully supports custom post types which means you can design layout of your custom post types by using Visual Composer Frontend editor.
How Visual Composer works with custom post types?
Once you install a plugin or have a theme that creates a new post type, Visual Composer will be automatically enabled for the custom post type. This means that you can use Visual Composer for custom post types by default.
If you wish to disable Visual Composer for a certain post type:
- Go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard;
- Navigate to Visual Composer Settings;
- Enable/disable Visual Composer for specific post types with the toggle.
